Bureau Securitas’ approved indicative starting range for planned TSCM work is €2,500–€5,000 per team-day. The scope and total are confirmed in a written quotation. A team-day is a pricing unit: it does not promise a fixed floor area, a particular team size or completion of every inspection in one day.
This is our commercial guidance, rather than a survey of European market prices. A hotel suite, a vehicle and an occupied office floor create different access and inspection requirements. Start with the property and the decision the work must support, then compare quotations for the same scope.
What affects the quotation?
The TSCM Institute’s procurement guidance identifies threat, location, size and technical complexity as cost factors. Our quotation discussion applies those questions to your assignment:
- Spaces and equipment. Identify each room, vehicle, outbuilding and installed system to be considered. A floor plan helps establish the boundaries.
- Access and restrictions. State when the space is available, who can authorise inspection and whether ceilings, fixtures or equipment can be examined.
- Inspection methods. Agree the physical and electronic work, its limitations, and any separately scoped device forensics or network testing.
- Team and timing. Confirm the proposed staffing, inspection window and whether work must happen outside normal hours.
- Travel and other charges. Ask whether travel, accommodation, equipment movement, taxes and reporting are included or separately itemised.
- Reporting and follow-up. Specify the intended recipients and whether legal advisers or insurers have particular requirements.
Our operational headquarters are in Lisbon. The TSCM team is mostly stationed in London because of ongoing contracts, and deployment elsewhere is agreed for each assignment. A city service page describes coverage; availability and travel still need confirmation.
Match the scope before comparing prices
| Requirement | Scope question to settle first |
|---|---|
| Office or boardroom | Which rooms, installed systems and shared areas are included? |
| Hotel suite or meeting room | Has the room been allocated, and who authorises access? |
| Residence | Are garages, studies and outbuildings separate inspection areas? |
| Vehicle | What vehicle is involved, and is suitable inspection access available? |
| Aircraft or yacht | What work does the owner or operator permit? |
| Recurring programme | What triggers a visit, and who controls access between inspections? |
Our office and boardroom inspection guide and hotel-room inspection guide explain two common scopes. For repeated sensitive use, consider an individually agreed corporate TSCM programme.
Ask what the inspection can establish
A list of equipment is not a substitute for a defined method. REI explains that non-linear junction detection can indicate electronics without relying on their transmissions. An indication still needs investigation; legitimate equipment also contains electronics.
Ask how the proposed methods address the agreed concern and how inaccessible areas will be recorded. A report should describe what was examined, the findings and the limits. Intended legal use needs discussion before work begins, rather than a promise that any report will automatically be accepted in court.
What to send for a useful quote
Send the city, property type, approximate size, room or vehicle identifiers, reason for the inspection, access authority and required completion time. Agree an appropriate channel before sending sensitive documents. An NDA is available on request.
There is no published standard urgency surcharge or guaranteed area-per-day commitment in this guide. If timing is urgent, give the actual deadline so availability and any additional costs can be confirmed.
Frequently asked questions
Is €2,500–€5,000 the total price?
It is the approved indicative starting range per team-day. The written quotation establishes the required work and total, including how additional items and applicable taxes are treated.
How many rooms can a team inspect in a day?
That depends on access, installed equipment, physical complexity and agreed methods. Confirm a realistic inspection window after scoping.
Can recurring visits be arranged?
Yes, subject to an agreed programme. Frequency, access arrangements and pricing are set for that programme; a blanket discount is not assumed.
