Security Training
Security training should prepare people for the decisions and conditions they will face. Bureau Securitas develops training engagements around the team, its responsibilities and the risks it needs to manage, with classroom work connected to practical exercises.

Match the programme to the role
A protective team, a corporate security function and personnel entering a more demanding operating environment need different preparation. We begin by understanding existing experience, responsibilities and the intended application of the training.
The proposed programme sets out learning objectives, participants, prerequisites, location, delivery format and assessment arrangements. Specialist instructors and partner resources are selected for the agreed requirement.
Areas of training
Training can cover protective security, surveillance awareness and detection, criminal intelligence analysis, incident preparedness and operational medical response. Government and law-enforcement programmes may require more specialised content, facilities and authorisations.
Practical scenarios allow participants to apply what they have learned, identify weaknesses and receive feedback. Exercises should suit the environment in which the team works rather than recreate a generic scenario.
Plan the delivery
Some assignments require a short workshop or management exercise. Others need a structured programme with practical sessions and follow-up. Duration, facilities, equipment, instructor availability and any restrictions are agreed before an engagement is accepted.
Any qualification or certification must be identified explicitly in the proposal. Attendance alone should not be represented as professional accreditation. Training involving controlled equipment or regulated activity is subject to the relevant permissions and suitable delivery arrangements.
What the engagement can deliver
The proposal confirms the outputs for your assignment. Depending on scope, these can include:
- A training needs assessment and proposed learning objectives
- An agreed programme, schedule and participant requirements
- Practical exercises and assessment criteria where applicable
- A debrief and recommendations for further development
Questions about security training
Can you train an existing security team?
Yes. The programme can build on existing skills and procedures, focusing on gaps identified through discussion, assessment or previous exercises.
Can training take place at our site?
Location depends on the programme, facilities, access and permissions. On-site delivery can be considered when the environment is suitable.
Will participants receive a qualification?
Only where the agreed programme expressly includes a recognised qualification and its requirements. We specify any certificate and its meaning before booking.
