Crisis & Emergency Management
A crisis plan is useful only if people can act on it under pressure. Bureau Securitas helps organisations prepare for serious incidents by defining responsibilities, testing decisions and connecting emergency arrangements with the way the business actually operates.

Prepare before an incident
A new site, a changing operating environment or an exercise that exposes confusion can all justify a review. We work with management and operational teams to establish the incidents that would have the greatest consequences and the people who would need to respond.
The assessment considers existing plans, critical dependencies, decision authority, escalation routes and the information needed during an incident. The objective is a workable response structure rather than another document that sits unread.
Plans and exercises
An engagement can cover crisis and consequence management, preparedness and recovery arrangements, business continuity interfaces and coordination with relevant external organisations. Roles and procedures should reflect the resources actually available to the client.
Tabletop exercises let a team practise decisions in a controlled setting. Scenarios can test escalation, information sharing, operational priorities and recovery decisions. The debrief records gaps and assigns follow-up actions.
Support during disruption
Where incident support is required, we agree the availability, delivery team, communication arrangements and responsibilities in advance. Immediate operational assistance depends on the location, access and the nature of the incident.
For an emergency requiring police, fire, ambulance or another public authority, use the appropriate emergency channel. A website enquiry is the starting point for scoping advisory support, not an emergency dispatch service.
What the engagement can deliver
The proposal confirms the outputs for your assignment. Depending on scope, these can include:
- A review of preparedness and material response gaps
- A crisis management structure and agreed procedures
- Exercise scenarios, facilitation and a debrief where commissioned
- A prioritised action plan for preparedness and recovery
Questions about crisis & emergency management
Can you test our existing plan?
Yes. A review and tabletop exercise can test whether existing responsibilities, escalation routes and decisions work in a realistic scenario.
Does this include business continuity?
Business continuity can be included or coordinated with an existing programme. The scope should identify the operations, dependencies and recovery priorities to be examined.
Do you provide immediate emergency response?
Availability and operational responsibilities must be agreed for the engagement. Public emergency services remain the appropriate first contact for an immediate emergency.
